  1. Please remember that none of us speak Spanish.

Callum knows Dutch, I know a small amount of French, and that's about it, so please speak English.

  6. hey guy it is demo verry good i love this game demo

  7. Please change Sonic's Homing Attack(Neutral Special Move).

  8. how do i download it?

  9. Hahahaha.

  10. Oh boy!

  11. Not AT THE MOMENT, but perhaps something super awesome is coming soon ;)

  12. Also, this is just a question, but Callum said that Nuke coins give you special privelages, I'm just asking, what special privelages? If I got any (I've got the second highest post count) I didn't notice.

  13. That's dutch? I thought that was spanish! Well, the first guy began with spanish, right?

  14. The chatbox is a disaster if no one can understand what anyone's saying. Even though it's your chatbox, I don't really think the primary language of this game should be Dutch

  15. Yeah guys, run it under google translate if you don't know English, please.

  16. Potjandorie, kan ik hier niet eens mijn eigen taal praten? GODMILJAAR!!!

  17. English is the preferred language for this comment box.

  18. No hablar espanol por favor.

    (Daniella)

  19. Hey guys, just because they showed up in Brawl or Melee, doesn't mean they'll show up here too, if this game had a matching roster, wouldn't it loose the "what if" factor? Also, 35 characters PLUS extra would both add a ton of lag and a ton of time to production...

  20. Translate?

  21. que onda saben ablar español

  22. this game is cool

  23. In my opinion mewtwo is a great choice.

  24. hmm i dont really like metwo but i we had to choose between mewtwo and lucario mewtwo all the way. Just saying but i think you should use another pokemon such as darkrai or dexoys that'd be a really intresting twist on the game. I love your story mode keep up the good work!

  25. sorry double post glitch.

  26. I am just like everybody else. Wondering what the final character roster would be.

  27. I am just like everybody else. Wondering what the final character roster would be.

  28. Ok I understand.

  29. Just try and think before asking. We haven't even confirmed if Mewtwo will be in the game or not, and even if he were, we are doing the updates thing for a reason, we wouldn't just post about it.

  30. hey stop insulting me. I was trying to ask a question.

  31. KlukeingDevice, you are a fool.

  32. Hey callum will somebody be voicing mewtwo in super nuke bros?

  33. Updated! Check it out.

  34. Great to see the love for music.

  35. No-one knows when the next demo will be. Not even us.

  36. Could someone tell me when the next Demo will come/be released or after how much time?

  37. Narrator is coming in another update, soon.

Also, I highly doubt an SSB DS would be made using sprites. It has perfectly good 3D capability, look at Super Mario 64/Mario Kart DS.

  38. Hey, I gotta ask who's the narrator anyways?

  39. Well, I don't have much to say. You're(Hoeloe) are very good composer. I liked all of your music on SNBM(especially the New Super Mario Bros. one. I've heard the original song too). I have to ask that did you edited the New Super Mario Bros. Music or the New Super Mario Bros. Wii Music? Oh! and the music on Battlefield looks like Music of Super Mario Galaxy(I know you didn't composed it. Hey does someone even know that a new DSi is coming(the fourth DS version. It is called DSi XL{DSi LL in Japan}). The only difference is that it is bigger(with bigger buttons, charger and stylus).

  40. But there's a copyright right under the song, seriously, I'm just saying, watch where those copyrights go.

  41. Oh yes, and copyright becomes ineffective if the product is more than 50% different than the original. Although, the law for songs is that there has to be a difference within 8 consecutive notes, so the tune of the song is still owned by Nintendo.

  42. We're only claiming copyrights on the original content of the game, including the game engine. Characters and locations still belong to their respective owners.

  43. Amazing! This song is better than the one on melee and brawl

  44. Also, guys, watch what you claim copyrights on, you might get hit by the sue stick.

  45. I for one think SSB on the DS is a great idea, why it hasn't been done yet is beyond me, imagine, sprites that are actually made for the game, not some rips from another (SSF 2 and other sprite based SSB clones.)

  46. What has this got to do with SNBM, what are we going to do about it? We don't have like, power over Nintendo or anything.

  47. That is my wish.

  48. What about it.

  49. Did somebody care to read my second last post's second paragraph?

  50. We may well do that. But just remember that a downloaded .swf is easier to hack than an uploaded .swf.

We'll probably only release it for download officially in the final version, if we do.

  51. Well then, I guess that means you're fucked, unless you do like everybodies been telling you and put it up for download, like was said, it goes a lot smoother.

  52. NG Rumble is mostly frame by frame, which is less laggy, as there are less pieces.

  53. Squidly, the physics probably ARE the cause of the problem. They are quite complex.

  54. Me and my friend were able to download nuke bros off the internet and covert it into a flash file. the game moved much smoother and the only problem was that the music was missing.

  55. Well then, I must say you're quite screwed in the lag department, however, I have come up with not one but TWO options.

    1. Pray to God/Whatever Diety You Believe in that Adobe releases a new flashplayer with breakthroughs in reducing lag (not likely.)

    2. Contact either Negative One, Luis, or Mindchamber (NegativeOne sounds like the better idea) and ask them how they managed to reduce their lag on NG Rumble, which played just like SSB, except minus the physics, but I don't think physics are the problem, anyways, just ask them.

  56. Bitmapping everything would increase both filesize AND lag :/

  57. Video format is not possible, since Flash doesn't allow for transparency in videos.

Bitmapping everything increases the lag on zooming.

  58. Sprites increase filesize? Strange, I actually thought they didn't. But what you could do, is switch things to video format, OR bitmap EVERYTHING...

Actually, wait, bitmapping everything wouldn't do shit for anybody...

  59. Hey Nuke bros team did you enjoy holloween last night? What were your costumes? I dressed up as Travis Touchdown from the videogame No More Heroes. Most people thought I was Fonzie from Happy Days and little kids thought I was a cross Between Anikan Sywalker and Harry potter

  60. The trouble is, we are the only fangame currently not using sprites. Sprites increase filesize, but they don't lag nearly as much as hand-drawn graphics. They won't be able to help us. The amount of optimising we have done already is insane. The only thing that can really help us now is a Flash lagbuster (which increases loading time in order to decrease lag), but I don't think that will be possible.

  61. I think you should try to go to McLeodgaming Forums and ask somebody how did they decrease lagging because I don't know even a thing about Flash Game coding, improve performance etc.(Just a suggestion).

  62. I don't really know what we can do to decrease lag.

  63. Well, I think you should increase the game performance(in order to decrease lagging) then we can talk about more moves(Zelda CD-i Reference lol!).

(Below this is not anything about this Game)

By looking at my name, I hope you may understand what I mean(I'm a great fan of DSi too, and I already have one!). My real wish is that NINTENDO should make a SSB Game for the DS(or put a demo at DSi Shop). By looking at all these Fan SSB Games NINTENDO can take ideas and make one for the DS/DSi.

  64. Oh, well that's okay, Callum. I doubt you'll want to stop your work after this game so maybe I can do something in the future...

  65. The fact is that it would not only cut down content and reduce release time, but also render the game unplayable. You think the lag is bad now? Putting more moves in will certainly not help this. It's something we can't work around. Fortunately, we've attempted to make the special moves more useful in actual fights, so try using those a little more. Also, we've added new way to string combos together. It's not a total loss.

  66. (To Hoeloe) Well, It doesn't matter if the game may take years to release(SSF2 is being having demos for about 3-4 years!) but the important thing is to put every thing right. If you play SSF2 then you may understand what I mean.(Please, don't be angry on me. Although you can do as you wish. This is just a suggestion)

  67. I'm afraid that's not possible. If we added more moves it would mean cutting down the content of the game considerably, and also pushing back the release date of the next demo several months, and the final product possibly more than a year.

  68. Hello. Could you please add more moves in the upcoming demo?

  69. Hello. Thank you for telling me about JoyToKey. Joystick works(but the whole computer lags/slows down) and as you(Hoeloe) said that you people are intending to make it work right so here I would wish you a best of luck in making Super Nuke Bros. Melee and in fulfilling requests.

  70. itsameSMB I was just joking about the rapping dog. Really it makes as much sense as haveing talking stuff animals in a serious action anime.

  71. @blablob I'm sorry, we don't work with sprites! :(

Happy Halloween everyone! Be spooky but safe!

  72. Happy Halloween guys ;)

  73. Ah, but XPadder costs.

  74. Also, XPadder > Joy2Key

  75. Hey hey hey, no need to be rude.

Um, so anyway, Callum, I heard you were an artist. Do you think it would be possible for me to make any of the sprites for SNBM? (Something 2D, since I can only use paint)

  76. KlukeingDevice, you're an idiot.

  77. We are intending to make controls useable with gamepads, although it will probably require the player downloading Joy2Key in order to do it.

  78. Hello again!,

I am sorry for double post(please do try fulfilling my request).

  79. Hi everyone!,

I am a great fan of both games(Super Smash Flash 2 & Super Nuke Bros Melee). I have a request. It would be very kind of you(the developers and makers) if you would put a feature to play with Joystick(I mean the game could be able to detect joystick). It would fun!.

I also told this request in the Super Smash Flash 2 Bug Reports. Please, do try. I don't know that joystick works in Flash Games or not(or maybe if it doesn't then it may work with a future Flash Player. I know you are using Adobe Flash Player 10). So please, if it can detect joystick then put this feature in order to play with a joystick. It would be very kind of you.

  81. Will the Rapping Dog (from titanic animated animated musical) be in super nuke bros melee?

If you don't know what the hell what Im talking about look here

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0f8_7GX0zCg

  82. Now that you mention it, Nights pretty much crossed us. Probably because it isn't either good or popular really.

  83. will their be any Knights (sonicteam game) related material in nuke bros?

  84. It wasn't so much that fact that it was like other games (personally, I thought it wasn't particularly), it was the fact that it just wasn't interesting.

Besides, lets get back to discussing Super Nuke Bros. Melee!

  85. But if they already played a game like it before (It's too similar) AND it's from the same developers, wouldn't that make it's case even worse?

  86. What makes Blue Dragon Unoriginal to final fantasy? I keep on hearing those stupid videogame critics (not you guys) complain that theyve already experienced a game like this before. The game was developed by the same guys who made final fantsy and some devs who worked on Blue dragon used to work for SEGA.

  87. Blue Dragon started ok, then I got past about 6 or 7 dungeons, and it got really boring

  88. Most RPGs start boring, or start okay then get boring. The vast majority of them get reeeeally good later in the game.

  89. I grew up as a Pokemon fan too, but still didn't like Blue Dragon. It got boring reeall fast.

  90. Well I grew up as pokemon fan not a final fantasy fan and enjoyed Blue Dragon more than others.

  91. I didn't like Blue Dragon too much. It was a bit standard, and nothing really that interesting or innovative.

  92. Hey callum thanks for playing Super Smash Bros Rumble. I really apreciate it. Did you know that my account name is named after a character (Kluke) from an underrated RPG game called Blue Dragon and a smash bros item (cloaking device).

  93. Updated! Tomorrow's the Blogday so check back!

  94. This game dominates smash flash 2.

  95. Aww, sprites too? Anyhow, I enjoyed playing this more then I did Smash Flash 2, so thats a win. But the game felt kind of soulless. Some characters didn't even have voices or attack sounds, and the music doesn't match the stages. It's very messy and the air control isn't that good, but it has enough modes and characters to have kept me interested.

  96. Hey Nuke Bros team have any of you guys played super smash bros rumble on YoYogames.com? This game allows 12 players (4 human max and 8 cpus) duke it out all on the same stage. It also has 4-player challenge mode co-op and 40 playable characters.

    Here is the link

    http://www.yoyogames.com/games/show/43778

  97. Blablob, for you, it shouldn't be "I want to make games someday" it should be "I should start making games right now, let me start simple instead of trying to joing a group that's making one of the most ambitious flash projects to date."

  98. Yeah, this isn't SSF2.

  99. We're not focussing on putting out demo's, we're actually wanting to make a nice complete whole and try to finish the game some day. Please keep this in mind.

  100. Dude, Thank you!!This is my all time favorite stage in Melee and Brawl. will it be in the next demo?
